Charming and quirky little museum tour. A beautiful insite into the old days of cinema, lovely experience.

Some nice "exhibits" but not enough there for my liking. All tours are guided and I think this is mainly because there is so little content, the guide seems to talk you through what little they have to pad out the time you have there. Guide was knowledgeable though, and clearly has a passion for cinema. It was enjoyable enough, in a fairly weird location - not central and in an old hospital building among a housing estate.

From the moment you approach the lovely victorian facade, you know this is going to be a stunning place. I went to see a screening/talk here and was bowled over by the amount of beautiful, historic memorabilia on display. A very nice, friendly place to be in, it's a bit awkward to find, but is only 5 minutes walk from Elephant & Castle tube. I was surprised with how good the bar was (very well stocked) and some of the seating is quirky too! Really enjoyed my experience and am saddened by their potential closure, so please support it if you can.

Unique place. Went for an awards night, but will consider visiting again. I believe you need to book tours as its not just open all the time. Full of interesting items. Charlie Chaplin lived or was schooled here, not 100% sure of the exact detail.

I went to what I thought was going to be a 2hr guided tour of the museum and it ended up turning into 4 and I was not disappointed. I've since been back twice to watch old films and it is such a lovely (and inexpensive) experience. I highly recommend doing both. The venue is well kept and interesting and all the fellas who work there are clearly very passionate about cinema, which is infectious.Check their website for what's on!
